M.Sc. [Engineering] in Engineering and Manufacturing Management

This course aims to prepare students for developing their careers in Engineering Management. The course will give students capability to design efficient manufacturing management systems with good understanding of engineering and growing industry needs of the twenty first century. Emphasis is placed on application of latest technology in materials, processing, information and supply chain to attain a competitive edge.

The specific course aims are:

• > To design and develop lean and competitive manufacturing facilities
• > To evaluate and design efficient supply chain systems
• > To apply continuous improvement techniques to identify waste
• > To identify opportunities for the application of new materials and processes
• > To evaluate appropriate production control system
• > To assess manufacturing issues with regards to strategic and financial implications
• > To work effectively in a team environment
