M.Sc. [Engineering] in Advanced Medical Electronics

This course aims to prepare delegates for developing their careers in the design and development of biomedical systems. The course will give delegates capability to understand and analyse biological signals and images. It gives a broad view of the instruments for acquiring and measuring physiological parameters of the human body. The underlying principles of bio-mechanics and biofluid dynamics taught in the course facilitate a scientific approach for the utility of biomaterials for implants and medical devices. The educational experience enables the participants to achieve an integrated and structured understanding of the existing techniques and in the development of better biomedical instruments.

The M.Sc. (Engg) in Advanced Medical Electronics Course aims to:

  • > Provide an understanding of the state-of-the art biomedical instrumentation
  • > Develop ability to design, implement and analyse algorithms for biomedical signal and image processing
  • > Evaluate and appreciate the modern concepts of Virtual Reality in biomedical applications
  • > Provide the concepts and principles of Biomaterials, Biomechanics and Bio-fluid mechanics
  • > Offer a unique opportunity for the delegates to use advanced software and hardware tools and techniques for development of biomedical systems
