Mechanical Engineering is an evergreen stream in
engineering. In this competitive world, the approach to Mechanical
Engineering is changing as a result of seamless integration of
technologies taking place in evolution of smarter, efficient,
cost-effective products. This has lead to ‘Design anywhere, Build
anywhere’ way of working. The design process is fast changing with the
advent of high-speed computers and advances in modelling and analysis
tools. Advances in computer aided design and engineering (CAD/CAE) have
dramatically changed the way the components and systems are being
designed and engineered. Use of computers, paired with high-end software
tools for design, analysis, manufacturing and many other activities, has
become mandatory for the industries/companies, either big or small. The
companies are thus looking for the competent manpower that can be
productive on such systems from day one. This has put lot of pressure on
fresh engineering graduates and professionals.
An engineer, looking for a career opportunity in CAD/CAM/CAE, has a
couple of options. At the entry level, geometric modeling could be one
of the options. Up in the ladder, it is the engineering analysis using
the FEA where the job for an engineer is quite challenging. Further, if
delegate is interested, the choices of specializations are in the areas
of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Impact Analysis, Kinematic
Analysis, Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) and so on. In each of
these areas, the current technologies are highly advanced and contribute
significantly towards complete Product Life Management. Geometric
modeling using high-end tools is an important aspect of the above
activities.
Hence we are offering this specialized training program for fresh
graduate engineers to enhance their engineering knowledge and
design/problem solving skills, and to become successful professionals in
the field of computer aided design and analysis. On completion of the
course, delegates can seek career opportunities in various industries
like: Automotive, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Heavy Machinery, Machine
Tool, Consumer Goods, Home Appliances as well as in Research and
Development Organizations.
The course aims:
- To add value to the basic qualification of the delegates by
enhancing their skill levels so that they can apply modern computer
technologies in solving engineering design problems.
- To equip the delegates, enabling them to execute a given design
process, by imparting knowledge of modelling, analysis,
verification/validation tools of CAD, Reverse Engineering, Rapid
Prototyping, CAM, Finite Element Modeling, Finite Element Analysis,
Computational Fluid Dynamics, etc,.
- To enhance creative thinking ability of the delegates, preparing
them to solve new problems in engineering design and innovative
method in system/product development.
- To keep the delegate abreast with the recent developments and
applications of CAD/CAM/CAE Technology.
- Also to provide sufficient good foundation for the engineering
graduates so that they can pursue further studies under Master’s
degree programmes.
