ACTP in Wireless and Mobile Communications

This course is designed with a motive of providing you an understanding and knowledge about how information flows in a network. It concentrates on giving you technical specifications and working of various protocols concerned with networking applications.

Today’s wireless & Mobile technologies are extremely complex and multidisciplinary. A fundamental knowledge of computer networking, IP, multimedia, data compression and encryption is an essential pre-requisite. Wireless networks employ highly sophisticated modulation, multiplexing and multiple access techniques. It integrates diverse disciplines such as networking, telephony, RF and microwave technologies, signal processing, radio wave propagation and so on.

The applications of Digital Signal Processing have proved very effective in wireless and mobile multimedia applications: speech, audio, video coding and compression techniques etc.

The course aims:

  • To equip the candidates/delegates to effectively handle design and implementation processes by providing knowledge of digital modulation, networking concepts, RF and wireless communications, Mobile technologies, wireless networks, and tools such as OPNET, Qualnet simulator, Network Simulator NS-2, MATLAB, and ADS2004A.
  • To add value to the basic qualification of candidates/delegates by enhancing their skill levels to meet the growing requirements of industries in this explosive market in the area of computer and wireless networks
  • To provide hands-on experience on various Design tools to implement the concepts of Wireless and Mobile communications.
  • To equip the candidates / delegates to execute the design process by providing knowledge of Signal Analysis, multimedia signal processing etc.
  • To keep the delegate abreast with the recent developments and applications of Multimedia, Mobile and Wireless Technologies.
  • Equip the delegates to analyze, design and implement GSM and CDMA concepts Simulation, implementation, testing, verification of network protocols and mobile stack using C/C++ on different platforms of mobile operating systems Symbian OS&WinCE.
