M.Sc. [Engineering] in Signal Processing and Communication Technologies

This course aims to prepare students for developing their careers in the field of Signal Processing and Communication Technologies. Digital Signal Processing has seen explosive growth during the past three decades, as phenomenal advances both in the research and application have been made. Advances in digital computer technology and software development have been the Motivating factors for this growth
The applications of Signal Processing and Communications Technologies have proved very effective and necessary in Mobile & Wireless networks, Medical Imaging, satellite imaging, geographical information systems, weather forecasting systems and engineering design applications.

As a result of the above requirements many of the signal processing tasks that were conventionally performed by analog means have paved way for less expensive and often more reliable modern digital hardware. Keeping the above trend in perspective, this course has been specifically structured to provide appropriate and requisite education in Digital Signal Processing & Communication Technologies.
The specific course aims are:

1. To provide a platform for engineers in Signal processing & Communication Technologies so that they can readily accept the challenges in the areas of signal processing, Telecommunication industries.

2. To Impart knowledge pertaining to principles of design, analysis and development of wireless and optical systems.

3. To impart professional curriculum so that delegates can develop a strong understanding of the main issues linked to the Signal Processing, RF and Wireless communication Engineering.

4. The course aims at the enhancement of the delegates’ skills through confidence development and aptitude in Signal Processing and Communication technologies, integration of DSP to Embedded, Communication and VLSI Technologies.
