This course aims to prepare students for developing their careers in Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality. The course will give students capability to create computer graphics applications related to engineering and allied areas, virtual reality applications for medical doctors to practice virtual surgery, to create virtual teachers, to create computer games, and other computer graphics applications. The educational experience enables the participants to achieve an integrated understanding of the software development in the area of Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality.

The specific course aims are:

1. Understand the mathematics required for developing graphics applications.
2. Develop Algorithms and computer codes to implement graphics applications
3. Experience the use of commercially available Graphics Application software
4. Understand the concepts and principles of Virtual Reality
5. Develop virtual reality applications using commercially available tools and also learn to develop algorithms for new applications
