M.Sc. [Engineering] in Automotive Engineering

The course aims to prepare the delegates for a career in Automotive Engineering. The courses will impart to the delegates the knowledge of the principles and working of various systems that build a modern automobile. This will give them capability to evaluate specific requirements for automobiles and automotive systems, analyse these for numerous functional requirements, come up with an engineering design and implement.

In the course, analytical and simulation approaches to design will be emphasised, with an exposure to hands-on implementation of designs.

The specific course aims are:
1. To impart to the delegates, knowledge about the principles and theories of Automotive Engineering according to the concurrent needs of the automotive industry
2. To improve the knowledge level of delegates in the versatile area of analysis and simulation
3. To impart to the delegates the knowledge of critical functional and operational requirements for various automotive systems
4. To make the delegates capable of converting the design specifications to viable design specifications
5. To develop the capability, in the delegates, of analysing the designs using the state of the art simulation programs
6. To develop capability to transfer the designs from concepts, models and drawings to the physical implementation of the same
