- Candidate’s evaluation is based on absolute marking as per the above table
- A Candidate must have minimum of 80% attendance to be eligible to attend the examination and submit assignment
- Project is evaluated for a maximum of 100 Marks
- For a candidate to successfully complete a module he should score a minimum of 40%
- For part time students the evaluation is based on 100% assignment

The award of Pg.C, Pg.D. and M.Sc.[Engineering] is as follows:
- Award with merit at PgD stage 60 – 69.9 % of the best eight modules
- Award with Distinction at PgD stage – 70% and over of the best eight modules
- Award with Merit at MSc stage – Pro rata 60-69% of the best eight modules and the project
Flexibilities:
For a module
- Viva required for marks between 35-39%
- Rework same assignment for marks between 25-39%
- Rework new assignment for marks below 25%
- Procedures for re-submission exist and as per Coventry University norms
