  • Product aesthetics, Visual perception, Product communication, Product semantics.
  • Form, Function and Fit.
  • Elements of Design: Line, Form, Tone, Texture and Colour.
  • Principles of Design: Figure / Ground, Balance – Symmetry / Asymmetry. Gestalt – Closure, Continuance, Similarity, Proximity, Alignment, Emphasis, Proportion.
  • Hands on sessions in Concept sketching and rendering (Manual and Computer)
  • Use the Studio Tools to interface at a fundamental level; create a model using primitive objects.
  • Construct surfaces using Revolve, Skin, Swept, Square and Birail, Construct transitional surfaces using Fillet and Round. Edit a surface shape with the use of curves on surface and trim; understand the purpose of using image planes. Light the scene using various lighting models.
  • Extensive study on lifestyle board, mood board and visual theme board for generation of concepts.
  • Understand final image rendering
