PEMP BOSCH Ltd. Corporate M.Sc. inauguration :
 Inaugural Ceremony of PEMP Corporate M.Sc [AE & EMM] Course for BOSCH engineers was held on 16th July 2010 at MSRSAS campus.
The program was inaugurated and addressed by Shri. A. Krishna, Senior Vice President, BOSCH Ltd., Bangalore.
Welcome address was delivered by Dr. S. R. Shankapal, Director, M S Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies, Bangalore.

                        

 
Group Project Exhibition-2010:

Students Group project exhibition-2010 of full time students of MSRSAS was held on 28th June 2010 at the School Campus. 33 student group projects were exhibited and awards were given to the best projects.

                        

 

10th Graduation Day:

The 10th Graduation Day of Postgraduate Engineering and Management Programme (PEMP) was held on 21st May 2010 at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall.
Prof. S. V. Raghavan, Scientific Secretary, Office of Principal Scientific Advisor to Govt. of India was the Chief Guest.
Prof. Paul C. Ivey, Dean-Faculty of Engineering and Computing, Coventry University, UK conferred the degrees to the outgoing students.
M/s. Kate Quantrell, Registrar, Coventry University, UK addressed the outgoing students.
Dr. M. R. Jayaram, Chairman- Gokula Education Foundation gave away the Gold & Silver medals to outstanding students.

PEMP PT-10 Inauguration:

Inauguration of PEMP (Post Graduate Engineering and Management Programme) Part Time-2010 batch was held on 9th April 2010 at MSRSAS Seminar Hall. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S. R. Shankapal – Director, MSRSAS. Welcome address by Dr. Govind R. Kadambi, Professor and Head (Electronics and Computer Engineering), MSRSAS.

                           
 
FPGAs for Signal Processing and Embedded Applications Seminar:

The School conducted three day Seminar on FPGAs for Signal Processing and Embedded Applications from 4th-6th March 2010 at MSRSAS campus. Keynote address delivered by Mr. Neeraj, Xilinx Inc.

SAB Meeting:

Subject Assessment Board (SAB) meeting was held on 22nd January 2010 at MSRSAS. Dr. Gurmail Singh, Faculty of Engineering and Computing, Coventry University,  Dr. Leburn Rose, External Examiner, London South Bank University and Dr. Jayaram from Coventry University attended the meeting.


 
Vehicle Dynamics and Safety Seminar:

Inauguration of three day seminar on Vehicle Dynamics and Safety was held on 17th December 2009 at the School. The programme was inaugurated & addressed  by   Dr. James E Smith, President- SAE International, Dr. David L Shutt, CEO- SAE International, Mr. Murli M Iyer – Executive Advisor, Global Affairs, SAE International. The guests were introduced by Prof. Anindya Deb, Chairman – CPDM, IISc, Secretary – SAE India, Bangalore. Welcome address by Dr. S R Shankapal – Director of the School, vote of Thanks by Dr. Vinod K Banthia – Professor & Head – Department of Automotive Design & Engineering, MSRSAS.

                      
 
Competitive Manufacturing – Technologies and Management Paradigms Seminar:

Two day CPD Seminar on Competitive Manufacturing – Technologies and Management Paradigms was held on 23rd & 24th October 2009 at the School. Keynote address by Mr. Thiagarajan, President – Harita Seating Systems Ltd., Hosur.

                      

TREMAP – TCFA  Inauguration:

Inauguration of TREMAP-TCFA (Technology Commercialisation and Facilitation Agency) was held on 22nd October 2009 at MSRSAS seminar hall. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. Sanjay Singh, Advisor- TIFAC DST. Govt of India. Shri. Mukesh Mathur, Principal Scientific Officer,TIFAC DST. Govt of India, Shri. Dinesh, President KASSIA, Dr. Krishnakumar, President, Peenya Industries Association, Shri. Kripakaran, Member, KASSIA, Dr. Eshwarappa, Prof. & Head Dept. of Agriculture Engineering, GKVK and Shri. B S Sirsikar, MD- KCTU were guests of honour.  Shri. B R Prabhakara, CEO-GEF (M) presided. Welcome address by Dr. S R Shankapal Director of the School and Vote of Thanks by Dr.Vinod K Banthia, Prof. Dept. of Automotive Design and Engineering, MSRSAS.

                      

Biomedical Research Laboratory  Inauguration:

 Inauguration of newly setup Bio-Medical research lab was held on 21st October 2009 at MSRSAS by Dr. S R Shankapal, Director, MSRSAS.

                      

PEMP FT-09 Inauguration:

Inauguration of PEMP (Post Graduate Engineering and Management Programme) Full Time - 09 batch was held on 11th September 2009 at MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital Auditorium. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. B G Prakash – Director, India Science Lab, General Motor R&D and Planning, GM Technical Centre - India.  Welcome address by Dr. S R Shankapal – Director, MSRSAS.

                                   

Corporate Training:

Inauguration of the course for Railway officers was held at MSRSAS Seminar Hall on 20th July 2009.The course was inaugurated by Col. Arun Bhagra, Director, IRIMEE. Prof. R K Upadyay, GM, Railway wheel factory, Bangalore  and Dr. S R Shankapal, Director, MSRSAS graced the occasion.

                     

Seminar:

The School conducted 2 day seminar on "Loss Mechanisms in Steam and Gas Turbines" from 17th to 18th July 2009 at MSRSAS campus. The programme was Inaugurated by Prof. S. Soundaranayagam, [Retired Professor IISc Bangalore]

 
ACTP Inauguration:

18th batch Advanced Course Training Programme (ACTP) was inaugurated by Prof. Ashok C. Meti, Registrar, on 15th July 2009.

 
Blood Donation Camp:

MSRSAS in association with Sankalp India Foundation organized a Blood Donation Camp on Saturday, 20th June 2009. Faculty members & students attended the camp with full enthusiasm.

                        

 
Group Project Exhibition:

Students Group project exhibition was held on 13th June 2009 at the School Campus. More than 25 student group projects were exhibited. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. B R Prabhakara, Chief Executive, GEF(M).
 

               

 

9th Graduation Day:

The 9th Graduation Day of PEPs was held on 24th April 2009 at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall. Dr. N Sheshagiri, Former Special Secretary to Govt of India in the Ministry of Information Technology, DG-NIC, Chairman-NIC Services Inc. and Chairman – National Center for Trade Information was the Chief Guest.

Dr. Y S Rajan, Principal Advisor, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Gurgoan, addressed the outgoing students.  

Prof. Ian Marshall – Pro Vice Chancellor (Research) Coventry University, UK conferred the degrees to the outgoing students.

Dr. M R Jayaram, Chairman- Gokula Education Foundation gave away the Gold & Silver medals to outstanding students.

PEPs Part time-09 Inauguration:

Inauguration of the PEPS Part Time 2009 was held on 10th April 2009 at the Seminar Hall, MSRSAS. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S R Shankapal, – Director of the School.

                        

 

 
Seminar:

The School conducted 3 day seminar on "Analog and Mixed Mode IC Design: A Practical Approach" from 12th to 14th March 2009 at MSRSAS campus. The programme was Inaugurated by Dr. Kota Murali, Lead Scientist and Program Manager, Nanotechnology, IBM India.

Prof. Gareth Roberts, Dr. Carol Vielba and Mr. Matthew Cott members from Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), UK visited the School for a meeting focusing on the link between MSRSAS and Coventry University, UK on 9th February 2009.
