About the Club:

• The Remote Controlled Car model building and racing is one of the very popular hobbies all across the world. However, in India, this activity is limited to few young individuals. The RC car model building activity requires adequate resources and professional help. The MSRSAS RC Car Modeling and Racing Club encourages enthusiasts to design, build and participate in competitions by providing basic facilities and professional support.

• Activities:

  • The student members themselves administer the Club affairs. The activities of the club include:

    • > Regular meetings of the members of the club
    • > Study the basics of RC Car modeling and racing requirements.
    • > Design and build various sub systems and the complete model of Cars.
    • > Test and fine tune the cars and run the cars
    • > Interact with other RC Car model organization across the world and participate in various competitions
    • > Attending / organizing seminars / workshops in the related areas
    • > Educate and create an awareness amongst the public about the hobby and popularize the RC Model and racing sport

      Typical racing kit (battery powered)consists:

      • > A chassis and bodyshell
      • > Wheels and tires
      • > An electronic motor
      • > An electronic speed control
      • > A radio set - transmitter, receiver and steering servo
      • > Basic tools for the build and maintenance of the chassis
      • > Batteries and charger

 

Facilities Available

• 1. Radio Controlled IC engine driven car – available
  2. Components for building battery powered RC car – available
  3. Basic RC car systems like engine, chassis system, tires, motors, batteries, RC modules with actuators and other essential     equipment – need to procure
  4. A RC Car racing track – need to develop

 

How to join

• > Any student of MSRSAS can become the member of the club.
  > The student interested in joining the club can contact the Coordinator for registering and pay the prescribed annual fees.
  > It is also recommended that the students joining the club are members of SAEINDIA Chapter.
  > It is recommended that the members have their own racing kits.
